Thijs's Café Since 2017, it has been a vibrant spot in Amsterdam Nieuw-West, where good food, sports, and conviviality come together. Our eatery is connected to a squash and sports area, and is known for its relaxed atmosphere where guests and staff alike quickly feel at home.
We are a cosy and close-knit team and are looking for an enthusiastic Qualified cook who will make our kitchen even stronger.
What are you going to do?
- Preparatory work and preparing dishes according to the recipe.
- Checking ingredients for freshness and shelf-life.
- Providing complete receipts.
- Receiving and checking orders.
- Collaborating with the chef to devise new dishes.
- To oversee hygiene, HACCP, and cleaning in the kitchen.
- Monitoring and improving the quality of our dishes.

What are we looking for in you?
- A passion for cooking and the hospitality industry.
- Positive attitude and no 9-to-5 mentality.
- Living in (the area around) Amsterdam.
- Proven experience in the kitchen; a completed chef’s training course is an advantage.
- A minimum of 4 days available, including 1 weekend day.
